East Texas Baptist University, or ETBU for short, is a private, coeducational Christian university in Marshall, which is a city in northeastern Texas state, USA, in Harrison County (serving as its county seat), with nearly 24 000 people, living within its limits, as estimated during the 2000 census.
The university was established in 1912 and was originally named the College of Marshall, adopting its current name in 1944. It offers its students `40 programs of study with several courses offered through travel study which give opportunities to see the world while completing your education.`
